Roma furious as Inter speak directly to Chivu

An alleged telephone conversation between Inter manager Roberto Mancini and Roma defender Christian Chivu has angered Roma, who are said to be considering legal action against Inter. Both manager Mancini and the club could risk a heavy fine. It seems Mancini, after having heard of Barcelona’s strong interest in the player, called him trying to get him to accept Inter’s offer, which led to Roma’s reaction, just days after the giallorossi’s general manager, Rosella Sensi, had said Inter and Roma were on good terms.
