Chelsea have reportedly made a £14million take-it-or-leave it bid for the defender but the Spanish side are thought to be holding out for a fee in the region of £20million. However, agent Jose Rodriguez Baster has called on Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido to be more realistic in his valuation of Alves and allow the player to complete his desired move to the Premier League. "Daniel wants to see an agreement between the two clubs," Baster told the Spanish press. "We need to see if the president Del Nido considers it, but we cannot really say anything as we are not certain. "We just hope that Del Nido understands that this would be good for all parties, we can see this already."
