It’s official: Juventus have completed the signing of former Udinese striker and Italian international Vincenzo Iaquinta, for the price of 11.3 million euros, to be paid in three yearly instalments. The World Cup winning striker has signed a five-year contract with Juventus. Iaquinta commented the news by saying: “I like pressure, I can’t wait to begin this new adventure. It’s a great challenge which I accept with enthusiasm and the pride that comes from being part of this team and trying to lead it back to greatness. I have grown as a player with each season and after seven years at Udinese it’s time for me to take the next step and try to make it in a big club.” Juventus general manager Jean-Claude Blanc said: “He is an important signing, another World Cup winner who will contribute to this club’s history. He is a professional and we welcome him at the club; he bring experience and quality with him, as well as passion and enthusiasm. I have no doubt we have made another step forward towards building a competitive squad for next season.”
