According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Inter directors met with Barcelona president Juan Laporta on June 4th, offering the Spanish club Adriano plus cash in exchange for Samuel Eto’o. Barcelona are said to be interested and would use the cash to invest in French striker Thierry Henry. Inter are using two former Barcelona players, Figo and Suarez, to help in the negotiations. Barcelona allegedly offered Inter Thiago Motta as part of the deal, but the nerazzurri were not interested. This scenario also affects Inter’s cousins Milan: Eto’o joining Inter would mean Ronaldinho will stay at Barcelona, which would see the rossoneri focus their attentions on Shevchenko.
