Van der Sar's future at Old Trafford is believed to be in doubt after Sir Alex Ferguson's patience with the erratic Dutchman snapped at Wembley, where United lost the FA Cup final to Chelsea on Saturday. United's players apparently pointed fingers at van der Sar for his hesitancy in coming out when Didier Drogba scored the only goal of the game in extra-time. It was the latest in a series of below-par displays from the former Fulham keeper, who has been unchallenged at Old Trafford for two seasons. But it now seems that Foster - now an England international after a brilliant season with Watford - will start next season as first-choice goalkeeper, with Tomasz Kuszczak likely to head to Sunderland on loan.
