Tottenham are reportedly close to signing highly-rated Udinese striker Vincenzo Iaquinta in a £7million deal. According to the Daily Mirror, the Italian ace is Martin Jol's top target for the January transfer window. And the tabloid says he'll fund the deal by offloading Noe Pamarot, Sean Davis and Pedro Mendes to Harry Redknapp's Portsmouth. New Pompey co-owner Alexandre Gaydamak is backing Redknapp's judgement with transfer funds, and that means the Spurs trio will move to Fratton Park for a combined fee of £5million. Jol will then be able to use the cash to buy Iaquinta, who is valued by his club at around £8million. Spurs have been told however that there is room for negotiation.
