The difficulties experienced in trying to sign Gabriel Milito seem to have lead Juventus to look for a defender elsewhere – namely at Racing Santander. The bianconeri are said to be interested in Ezequiel Garay. Milito seems to be closer than ever to signing for Real Madrid, although the bidding war between Real and Juve has lead Real Zaragoza to raise their demand to 25 million euros, just 5 below the player’s buy-out clause. According to Marca, this is why Juventus have now laid eyes on Garay, who would certainly be less expensive (around 12 million euros) and shows great potential. Garay scored 10 goals this season, and has a contract until 2011.
